Top performing schools from regional and international rounds will be invited to participate in our Finals Day.

​

This consists of 4 rounds of short-prep debates. The top 8 teams after these rounds shall then progress to the Semifinals and then Finals. There shall also be a Novice Final, for teams that are in their first year of competitive debating and have never broken before in a competition. We are also offering this year an ESL Final, which will run concurrently with the Novice Final, for those speakers for whom English is a second language.

1:20pm - Round 3

3:30pm - Round 4 (closed adjudication)

5:20pm - Break announcement

5:30pm - Open Semifinals; Novice Final

6:30pm - Supper (provided)

7:10pm - Final

9:35pm - Announcements

The Oxford Schools’ Debating Competition is kindly run with the support of Cherwell College Oxford, who provides the venue and rooms necessary to develop the public speaking skills of the next generation.
